If this story doesn't make you smile, you may want to rush yourself to the ER and explain that the muscles in your face must be broken.
Go take a look at the website for Rosa's Fresh Pizza in Philly. We'll wait...
$1 slices, fresh pizza - a perfectly fine idea. The thing is, that is only the start of the real story.
When Mason Wartman left his Wall Street job in 2013 to open Rosa's Pizza in Philly the idea was simple. While Philly is well known for their cheese steaks...not so much when it comes to pizza. He would open a pizza place with fresh, tasty pizza at the appealing price of just $1 a slice.
One day a customer asked if he could "pay it forward" and buy a slice for someone in need. Wartman loved the idea and put a post-it note up to remind him of the free slice to give to someone in need. Before long, tons of people were paying it forward and post-it notes lined the walls...

Word soon got out that if you were hungry you could go to Rosa's Fresh Pizza, take a post-it note off the wall and use it to pay for your pizza.
Before long, the wall started to be covered in Thank You notes...

Wartman estimates that they now give away 30-40 slices per day.
Remember how I had you guys go to the Rosa's Fresh Pizza website? Did you see any mention of all this? No, they talked about fresh, tasty pizza. You see, this was not done as some marketing stunt to get more people into the store, it was a natural and organic act of Good that just happened and grew into something totally wonderful. How awesome is that?
So, to those harden souls who believe we don't care about each other any more and there is no such thing as a free lunch, we simply present Rosa's Fresh Pizza. Take a look at this great writeup on Twisted Sifter and check out all the great notes and images.
If after all this you are not smiling, you are either part Grinch or have some issues with your facial muscles. In either case, you might want to get it checked out :)
